Our Causes

The causes and charities we partner with have missions that advance sustainable tourism, community impact, cultural heritage, and the environment. By supporting these local nonprofits, Visit Cusco helps organizations thrive while connecting visitors with responsible tourism experiences that encourage cultural respect, environmental stewardship, and meaningful engagement. Through these efforts, travelers can contribute to a more sustainable future for Cusco and the surrounding area while enjoying authentic and enriching experiences.

Centro de Textiles Tradicionales del Cusco or CTTC for short has a rich history running all the way back to the 1970s when Quechua weavers began their Cusquenan textile traditions. The nonprofit was founded in 1996 and since has partnered with multiple communities with the goal of keeping the beautiful traditions of the weaver alive today. CTTC second goal is to give the communities a center where women and men could come together and work, free from the distractions of home life and sheltered from the rain.
