Visit Cusco has two objectives.
- Increase funding for local nonprofits and assist in building lasting connections to donors.
- Acquire business for the local tourism industry without a commission or referral fee. Thus reducing Economic Tourism Leakage.
We will be working in two phases.
- Phase I: Connect with the organizations listed on this website. Work through issues within our website and listen to ways to improve the website that support the two objectives above.
- Phase II: The tourism industry in and around Cusco accommodates between 1.5 to 3 million tourists each year. We hope to collaborate with the local tourism businesses and organize in an organized effort for those tourists to donate to local nonprofits.
Our Staff
We are all volunteers using donations to launch this project. We are also funded with a $10,000 per month marketing grant. In time we hope to hire someone born and raised in Cusco to oversee this nonprofit!
